~ Puppy Antics ~

Yesterday I decided I better get some July 4th decor up, if I was going to.
I spent the morning tidying up the porch and snapped a few pics for the blog .
After viewing the pictures, I remembered I had purchased a pretty patriotic table cloth on clearance last year.

I hurried in to get it, placed it on the table, stepped back and admired it fondly. I was proud of myself for buying it and remembering it.

Well....the contractor left early yesterday, he is finished until the tub arrives so I decided to spend the afternoon in the pool and catch up on some reading.

Look what my little babies did,
they really had a good time while I was out back relaxing in the pool.
They even chewed on the wooden watermelon.

Look how incredibly close this flower pot was to the edge of the table.
Thank heavens it didn't fall make a huge mess.
So glad they stopped pulling on the cloth when they did.   I stood in bewilderment and just shook my head in disbelief

You better run for your life you little booger!!!   (Ringo when she was a pup)

Happy Weekend, stay cool and have some fun,
Shanda

  2. Bad Puppies! But amazing that pot didn't fall. No I would never tell a puppy it was bad... just tell it not to do the bad thing again :-)

  8. Hi Shanda,
Your porch is just beautiful! I love all your red, white and blues! It give you that Main Street USA feeling doesn't it? : )
What a cute picture of your puppy running away! We have one just like that here. Can be naughty at times but is to darn cute to get into trouble!

In answer to your question on my blog...yes, Rocky still lives with us! We've had him for about 9 months. He is really, really spoiled! I have been picking mulberries for him every evening. He eats until he can't eat anymore! The raspberries will be next to ripen. He loves those, too. Also, cherry tomatoes, sugar snap peas, plums, apricots....you get the idea!

  14. Hey Shanda!
Oh I've had moments in my home with all our critters and I just can't ever get mad 'cause they are all just so darn cute :)

Now on to the faucet. I think the chrome will be perfect. When it's finished and all pulled together, you will stand back and know your choice was right! I love chrome in an old-fashioned bathroom. I love the "clean" lines.
Glad you are getting some "me" time. I need some!

  23. Sounds like the dogs had quite a day!!! My dogs are getting older now 13 and 1/2 years, 12 years and 5 years old now..and don't act as silly as they did when they were younger..probably won't be much time before we bring another puppy into the family though.
I LOVE the music playing on your blog tonight...I could listen to it for hours!
Your porch looks great! I need to get my little bit of 4th of July decorations out...a couple small things for the porch, and a quilt and a few things for the living room..thanks for the reminder!!
    Have a great week Shanda!!
